Destruction by Hurricane Earl

I talked to Victor last week and in Punta Cana, Hurricane Earl tipped over the frame that I helped him set up, killing half of the coral I helped transplant! Also, many of the rope frames with coral on them were destroyed. Hopefully my houses are ok, but they haven't been checked since the hurricane... Luckily Miches is more towards the West of the country and may have received some protection from the Samana Peninsula. Lobster houses have been known to meet their end to hurricanes. In the Bahia de Ascension in Mexico, half of the area's 20,000 lobster houses were destroyed due to a hurricane.
